The newly floated Kuki Peoples’Alliance on Thursday released its election manifesto at its office in Churachandpur and also declared the names of the two candidates who will fight for the assembly polls from Singngat and Saikul assembly constituencies in the forthcoming Manipur assembly polls.
While Chinlunthang Manlun was awarded the party ticket for 60-Singngat AC, Kimneo Haokip Hangshing will fight the poll from the 46-Saikul constituency.
Notably, the party was formally recognized by the Election Commission of India this year on January 12.

The party, touted as a political party for the Non-Naga tribes, in their manifestos, has promised to work for the effective implementation of 371C, the Hill Areas Committee, as well as the strengthening of the existing Autonomous District Councils.
The party has also promised to take up issues, such as repealing the AFSPA, protecting the environment and ecology, and protection of catchment areas. In addition to that, the Kuki Peoples’ Alliance has also promised to work for the improvement of the health care and education sectors, among others.
