Kuki Cinema celebrates 35 years, 85 awards given to actors, actresses and filmmakers

Kuki cinema celebrated completion of 35 glorious years at a grand and glitzy event held in Churachandpur on Saturday evening. As many as 85 Kuki Filmfare Awards were given away at the event attended by some of the leading actors and actresses of the Manipuri film industry.

Some of the big names from the film fraternity who attended the event were Athokpam Gokul, Ethoi Oinam, Nicky Sorokhaibam, RK Kaiku and Amar Mayanglambam, Manipur Film Development Society Secretary Sunzu Bachaspatim and Manipur Film Forum president Laimayum Surjakanta.

Nemcha Kipgen, Manipur minister for commerce and industry, textiles and corporation attended the programme as chief guest. MLA Kimneo Hangshing was the special invitee.

The event was jointly organised by the Kuki Film Development Association (KUFIDA) and Kuki Cinema Filmfare Award Distribution 2022. 

Nemcha Kipgen during her address at the star studded gathering appreciated those who produced films and noted about the importance of making films and its positive impact on the society at large.
