Today is the second day of President Ram Nath Kovind’s three-day visit to Assam. President Kovind has arrived to attend the 19th convocation ceremony at Tezpur University.
President Kovind will be attending the ceremony as the chief guest. A total of 1,260 students will be awarded degrees in various disciplines at the convocation.
Governor Jagadish Mukhi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will be present at the ceremony.

Following the convocation ceremony, President Kovind will travel to the renowned Kaziranga National Park, where he will enjoy a jeep safari in the Bagori range.The President is also slated to attend a programme marking centenary celebrations of the state forest department.
Meanwhile, students gathered for the convocation ceremony expressed their happiness that President Kovind would be present for the event.
