Kori’s restaurant in Guwahati might be shut down for serving Korean liquor without licence

Guwahati’s popular Korean restaurant, Kori’s has come under scrutiny after the Excise Department seized 36 cartons of Korean liquor from the premises on Tuesday night. The restaurant was found to be serving the foreign liquor without a valid bar license, and the excise department has launched an investigation into the matter.

The restaurant, located on RG Baruah Road, is facing the possibility of closure if it is found to be in violation of the law. Korean food lovers in the city may be disappointed if the restaurant is forced to shut down. According to media reports, the manager of the restaurant was detained for questioning.

The Excise Department has been cracking down on the illegal sale of liquor by restaurants without bar licenses in the city, and Kori’s is just the latest establishment to come under the scanner. Further updates on the investigation are awaited.
