#Tripura | Kokborok Choba, of 56 indigenous organizations in Tripura, has expressed their concern over the recent state by Home Minister #AmitShah that the Devanagari script would be adopted for those languages in the region which do not have a script. While talking to Northeast Live, RSKC chairman Bikash Ray Debbarma stated that ever since the adoption of Kokrborok as a state language in 1979, the indigenous populace has been opting for the usage of the Roman script for writing it. Debbarma said that the government needs to change its stand on the matter and give credence to using both Bengali and Roman scripts for writing the Kokborok language.
