Killers of BJP leader Lasihram Rameshwor Singh will be booked soon: Manipur CM

CM Biren Singh also said that he will review the issuance of gun licenses in the state
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh today condemned the killing of Convener of ex-servicemen cell of BJP Manipur Pradesh Lasihram Rameshwor Singh and said that the government is not taking the matter lightly, culprits involved in the killing will be booked soon and punished as per law.
The Chief Minister said that the government will soon submit the charge sheet so that the culprits can be booked as per the law.
It may be mentioned here that the prime accused in the murder, Ayekpam Keshorjit, an RTI activist had surrendered to Imphal West police last evening.
CM Biren Singh also appreciated the state police for apprehending the culprits in a short period of time.
He further said that even though the prime accused is in police custody, the government and police will investigate and find out who all are involved.
CM Biren Singh said that he will also review the issuance of gun licenses in the state.
Chief Minister Biren Singh, BJP leaders and workers paid their last respects to Pradesh Lasihram Rameshwor Singh at the BJP office at Thambal Shanglen in Imphal.
Lasihram Rameshwor Singh was shot dead by unidentified miscreants at his residence in Thoubal Kshetri Leikai yesterday, Later he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
