Karbi Youth Festival Wraps Up, Celebrates Rich Cultural Heritage

The Zone-Wise Karbi Youth Festival, a four-day celebration of Karbi culture, concluded on October 13, showcasing the community's vibrant traditions.
The Zone-Wise Karbi Youth Festival, organized by the Karbi Cultural Society in collaboration with the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, concluded on October 13, leaving a lasting impact on the cultural landscape of the region.
Held over four days across 26 locations in Karbi Anglong, the festival celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the Karbi community. Eminent dignitaries, including Tuliram Ronghang, Chief Executive Member of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAA), Amarsing Tisso, Member of Parliament from Assam, and Dorsing Ronghang, Member of the Legislative Assembly from Assam, participated in various festival events.
The festival featured a variety of cultural demonstrations and competitions, providing a platform for Karbi youth to showcase their talents. Traditional dances, music, and art forms highlighted the community’s unique customs and traditions.
“The festival has succeeded in promoting cultural awareness and preservation among Karbi youth,” said a spokesperson for the Karbi Cultural Society. “We are overwhelmed by the response and enthusiasm shown by participants and spectators alike.”
