Karbi Culture to Shine on World Stage: Troupe Set for Abu Dhabi Debut at Cultural Olympiad

This participation marks the first time a Karbi Cultural Troupe will showcase their rich heritage at an international event.

In a historic milestone for Karbi culture, a talented cultural troupe from the region is set to make its global debut.

Led by the Art and Cultural Department of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), the troupe will travel to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on November 6 to participate in the 14th Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts 2024. This prestigious event is organized by the Global Council of Art and Culture.

Chief Executive Member of KAAC, Tuliram Ronghang, bid a heartfelt farewell to the troupe, expressing hope for their success in this maiden international cultural competition. This participation marks the first time a Karbi Cultural Troupe will showcase their rich heritage at an international event.

Sharing his pride and support, Tuliram Ronghang stated, “Heartfelt sendoff to our talented Karbi Cultural Troupe heading to Abu Dhabi for the 14th Cultural Olympiad of Performing Arts 2024 Wishing them success and hoping they inspire global appreciation for Karbi culture.”

The Cultural Olympiad will host artists from across the globe, celebrating diverse cultural traditions and fostering cross-cultural connections. The participation of the Karbi troupe will not only spotlight their vibrant culture but also promote mutual understanding among different communities.

As the troupe sets out to represent Karbi Anglong on the global stage, the entire community, along with KAAC, stands behind them with unwavering support and best wishes.
