Justice (Retd.) PK Saikia sworn-in as Arunachal Lokayukta chief

Arunachal Pradesh appointed its first Lokayukta in the state on Thursday, Justice (Retd.) Prasanta Kumar Saikia has been sworn-in as the Chairperson of the Lokayukta.

Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra administered the oath of office to Justice (Retd.) Prasanta Kumar Saikia at a function held in the Raj Bhavan.

PK Saikia took oath as the Chairperson and Yeshi Tsering was also sworn in as a Member of the Lokayukta.

Saikia has served as a Judge at Gauhati High court before and Yeshi Tsering has served as additional secretary to government of Meghalaya.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu termed this as another milestone towards clean and transparent government.
