Madhya Pradesh minister Narottam Mishra threatened to not let Pathaan release in the state if the outfits and scenes are not changed in the film. In his tweet in Hindi, he also wrote that “the costumes are highly objectionable and the song has been shot with a dirty mindset
Meanwhile, Swami Chakrapani Maharaj wrote in a tweet in Hindi, “There has been an insult of saffron and Hindu Sanskrit in Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathaan. Why is the film censor board sleeping? We will impose a ban! The Hindu Mahasabha will oppose it. Swami Chakrapani Maharaj, National President, All India Hindu Mahasabha
The controversy surrounding superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Pathaan’ song ‘Besharam Rang’ was heightened after an enraged seer from Ayodhya threatened to burn the Bollywood actor alive. In a ferocious statement, the seer, Mahant Paramhans Acharya of Tapasvi Chhavni, stated that if he ever met Shah Rukh Khan, he would burn him alive.
Talking about Pathaan, the film is slated to hit the theatres on January 25 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. Backed by Aditya Chopra under the banner Yash Raj Films, it stars SRK, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles.
