At a time when the Congress has termed the NPP and the JD-U as BJP’s B team in Manipur, NEDA convener and party’s top strategist in the Northeast, Himanta Biswa Sarma made it clear that none of the two parties will be a part of the next government.

Attending the flag hoisting ceremony of Thongam Biswajit Singh, the BJP candidate of Thongju constituency at Imphal East, Sarma also described the BJP journey in Manipur as a grand success story.

Addressing the meet Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma asserted that BJP would garner from 40 to 50 seats and would alone form the government in Manipur.

Dr. Sarma said that the coming of the BJP government was instrumental in lifting the economic blockade in Manipur.  He also spoke about the boost to rail and road connectivity under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government.
