Is the NSCN-K-YA Planning a Massive Extortion Drive in Arunachal Pardesh’s Insurgency Affected Changlang District?
Souces have informed that the NSCN (K-YA) has served extortion letters to tea estate owners, contractors, businessmen and villagers demanding money on the pretext of various ‘so-called taxes’. North East Live has accessed a couple of such extortion notes which was served recently to various people in the Miao and Kharsang areas of the district. In the extortion notes, the NSCN (K-YA) had asked the people to pay specific amounts to them or to be prepared to face dire consequences.
