Strongly condemning the killing of IRBn personnel Tapop Yajo on CJM court premises at Aalo in West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, the Adi Students’ Union submitted a 5-point charter of demands to the Superintendent of Police of Aalo on Wednesday.

The Adi Students’ Union in their 5-point charter demanded immediate arrest of those involved in the murder of Tapop Yajo. The charter also demanded an immediate compensation of Rs 1 crore to the family of the deceased, and government job for the next of kin.

The Adi Students’ Union also announced that it would observe ‘martyrs day’ on the 3rd of March every year in honour of late Tapop Yajo.

The student’s union further appealed the Aalo SP to ensure their 5 point charter of demand is met at the eraliest, failing which they would lauch a democratic movement.

The jawan of Indian Reserve Battalion Tapop Yajo was shot dead by unknown persons on Tuesday at CJM court premises while he was on duty.

Meanwhile, the West Siang district bar association took to the streets at Aalo protesting the killing of Tapop Yajo.

Several other organisations like Adi Baane Kebang Youth Wing and others also condemned the incident.

Speaking exclusively to Northeast Live president of the West Siang District Bar association said they have served a 7-day deadline to the district administration to secure a breakthrough into the case.
