The Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura has called for 24-hour bandh in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council Areas on Thursday, reiterating their demands for formation of a separate state, Tipraland.

The TTAADC areas have been completely shut down amidst the ongoing protest, also National Highway 8 in Tripura has been blocked.

Furthermore, a delegation of IPFT comprises of Meva Kumar Jamatia, Bishketu Debbarma, Dhanajoy Tripura, Sindhu Chandra Jamatia and Prashant Debbarma left for Delhi today to meet concerned ministers and the BJP national president JP Nadda to discuss various issues.

Meanwhile, the IPFT protest was also held in Tripura’s Dhalai district where the 24-hour bandh has been by and large successful so far.
