Indian Embassies around the world illuminated with Tricolour

To commemorate India’s 75 years of independence, Indian embassies all around the world lit up in the colours of the Indian flag.

India’s neighbour, Bhutan illuminated the Indian Embassy building and the India House in Thimphu with tricolour lights in the spirit of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’.

Besides Bhutan, Turkey, as well as Madagascar, lit up their embassies with the three colours. Further, as a part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the National Flag and Tiranga anthem were displayed atop the Indian Embassy building in Baku, Azerbaijan, on the eve of the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence Day.

The Indian Embassy building in Antananarivo was lit up in the colours of the Indian flag in honour of India’s 75th anniversary of independence. Apart from this, Madagascar’s town hall was also illuminated with tri-coloured lights.

Additionally, the Indian Embassy held a flag-raising event at Villa Tanana Finaritra, the Embassy house in Analamahintsy, Ivandry, to commemorate the spirit of India’s freedom.

Meanwhile, US Embassy in India has showcased an old tradition while celebrating the 75th Independence Day of India.

On the other hand, India’s Ambassador to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat hoisted the tricolour at the Indian Embassy.

A large number of Beijing-based Indian diaspora attended the colourful event. In Singapore, a 16-member band from the patrol vessel INS Saryu played patriotic songs at the Indian High Commission in the country.

In Nepal, the 76th Independence Day celebrations began with the hoisting of the national flag by Counsellor Prasanna Shrivastava.

In Herzliya, Tel Aviv, India’s Ambassador to Israel, Sanjeev Singla, unfurled the tricolour to celebrate 75th Independence Day in the presence of about 300 people from the Indian community, emphasising efforts to “deepen” the strategic relationship between the two nations.

In the US city of Boston, a 220-feet US-India flag flying high in the sky attracted everyone’s attention during the first-ever India Day Parade to mark the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence.
