Indian Army and Manipur Police Recover IEDs Weighing Over 21 Kg from Maphitel Ridge of Manipur

In a major explosives haul, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the Manipur Police, recovered five Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) weighing a total of 21.5 kilograms from the Maphitel Ridge area of Imphal East district.

As per an official release, the operation, conducted with precision, relied heavily on the expertise of Eva, the Indian Army’s explosive detection dog, and the Bomb Disposal Squad. The explosives were recovered from multiple locations, underscoring the coordinated efforts of the search teams.

This successful detection and recovery averted a significant threat, preventing potential loss of life and property. Officials emphasized that the discovery highlights the steadfast commitment of the Indian Army and law enforcement agencies to counter subversive activities in the state.

“The operation reflects the synergy between the forces and is a significant achievement in our mission to ensure peace and security in Manipur,” stated the release.

The Indian Army and Manipur Police continue to maintain their vigilance, demonstrating their resolve in thwarting any attempts to disrupt harmony in the region.
