In India, 1,72,433 new COVID-19 cases were recorded today, bringing the total number of infections to above 4.16 crore. The number of active cases dropped to 15 ,33, 921, or 3.67 percent of all infections.

The daily positive rate was recorded at 10.99 percent, according to the health ministry.

Meanwhile, 1,008 people died from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s total death toll to 4 lakh,98 thousand,983 people.

According to the health ministry, 167.87 million vaccine doses have been provided thus far as part of the statewide vaccination campaign.

With 2,59,107 recoveries in the previous 24 hours, Covid’s recovery rate is at 95.14 percent. The total number of recoveries now stands at 3,97,70,414.
