Senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Subramanian Swamy sought a hardened approached from the India government while dealing with Sino Indian matters. Addressing the media, Swamy specifically mentioned Chinese aggression in Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh.
Further, in the statement, Swamy says that the Centre must be resolute on the matter and that the Chinese occupiers along the LAC must be chased away. He also informed that he has raised the issue with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Sangh Parivar members.
Swamy was appearing before the Gauhati High Court on November 11 in connection with a complaint filed against him in a Karimganj trial court for allegedly making a hate speech in 2015. Eminent lawyer from Assam, Bijan Mahajan is represented Subramanian Swamy in front of the court.
The BJP leader has asked the high court to dismiss the case filed against him in the court of Additional Judicial Magistrate, Karimganj. He had allegedly made some objectionable comments over the Ayodhya dispute during a gathering in Guwahati in March 2015.
An FIR was filed against Swamy after he allegedly declared at the gathering that mosques and churches are just buildings that can be demolished if necessary.
Swamy had repeated the controversial comments two times while he was in Guwahati. In reaction to Swamy’s remarks, a number of groups across the state burned effigies of the BJP’s national executive member. Following a complaint by Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), the police also filed a FIR against Swamy under IPC sections 120 (B) [criminal conspiracy] and 153 (A) [promoting hatred between different groups on religious grounds].
