The 78th Independence Day is also being celebrated with great enthusiasm in Kokrajhar as well. A vibrant parade highlighting the contributions of police personnel, SSB, CRPF, and students from local schools and colleges was the highlight of the celebrations. Bodo Territorial Region Chief Pramod Boro hoisted the national flag. He was accompanied by the SP of Kokrajhar Pushpa Raj Singh and ADC Wadibul Islam. Speaking to the media, after the event, Pramod Boro again stressed the need for the amendment of the 6th schedule of the constitution. He also batted for further strengthening of the autonomous councils in the entire northeast.
