It seems the erratic nature of monsoons have not really ended the flood spell in Assam.
Incessant rains have resulted in floods at Gogamukh area in Dhemaji district. Rains have brought an upsurge in the Jiyadhal river.
Several places like Dharmapur, Bali-sapori and Simaluguri have been inundated by floods.
The villages have been severely affected forcing people to move out of their homes to higher grounds.
A local school building has become a sanctuary for the flood affected people.
