A student of the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT-Guwahati), who was pledging allegiance to the terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS) was detained by the Assam Police from Hajo yesterday, said Director General of Police (DGP) of Assam, GP Singh. “Reference @IITGuwahati student pledging allegiance to ISIS – the said student has been detained while travelling and further lawful follow up would take place,” GP Singh posted on X.
