IAF aids landslide hit Nagaland; essentials airlifted to affected areas

The centre has finally decided to come to the rescue of people of the state, as Nagaland continues to be battered by massive landslides triggered by incessant rainfall.

Indian Airforce choppers air lifted essentials in Peren district of the state among others. The Indian Air Force in an attempt to provide relief and essentials to affected areas landed in Dimapur at 1:30 pm today to airdrop relief supplies to them.

This was informed to Northeast Live by the Special Officer on Duty of the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Johnny Ruangmei.

Nagaland has been receiving incessant rainfall and has witnessed massive landslides in the past week due to which several parts of the state have been cut off.
