Hope Returns to the Hills: North Sikkim Records Highest Tourist Numbers Post 2023 Glacial Flood

North Sikkim witnessed a remarkable revival in tourism as a a record-breaking 3,564 tourists visited the area on Saturday, the highest single-day footfall since the devastating Glacial Lake Outburst Flood of 2023. According to data released by the Permit Cell, the majority of visitors were domestic tourists, numbering 3,555, while nine foreign tourists were also recorded.
