A day after ULFA-Independent, Commander-in-Chief, Paresh Baruah indicated that the rebel group may come to the negotiating table, given the core issue of sovereignty remains the prime agenda for the talks.
Assam health and finance minister has once again sent out an open invitation to the ULFA-Independent to join the peace process. However, Sarma maintained that the process will not be an easy task while expressing hope that the ULFA-I will return to the mainstream.
