Troopers of the Assam Rifles on Tuesday recovered heroin worth over Rs 33 lakh from Hunthar Veng area of Aizwal in Mizoram.
Based on specific information, a joint operation was carried out by a team of Assam Rifles, Excise & Narcotics Department and recovered 75 grams of the contraband item.
The approximate cost of the seized item is estimated to be around Rs 33,75,000.
The Excise and Narcotics department seized the contraband item and also detained five individuals, including two women.
