High alert has been sounded in South Tripura district and CM Saha is closely monitoring the situation.
CM Saha has sought reports from the Revenue Secretary and India Meteorological Department (IMD) Departments.
Water levels of Muhuri and Lawgang rivers are swelling. Presently, the water level of Muhuri is at 26.60 mtr, which has exceeded the flood level of 23.60 mtr but is still below the critical level of 27.50 mtr. The Lawgang is flowing at 24.50 mtr, which is above the danger level of 24.00 mtr.
