A woman was critically injured at Balisuti Gumutha village after heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorm lashed Moran area in Charaideo district of upper Assam.

The injured, 33 year old, Umeswari Mili was immediately rushed to the hospital, however, her condition is known to be serious.

She has been shifted to Assam Medical College and Hospital in Dibrugarh after receiving initial treatment at the Moran State Civil Hospital.

Surprisingly, her three year old son who was with her has not suffered any injuries.
