The hearing for the horrific Dokmoka mob lynching case began today at the Nagaon court.

All 47 accused persons were brought in at the hearing today from Diphu jail. Even the weapons and instruments that were used to torture and kill the innocent duo of Abhijeet Nath and Nilotpal Das were also presented at the hearing while kept in a box.

All the accused were brought in by the Karbi Anglong police before the court where the court proceedings formally began today.

The infamous Dokmoka lynching incident took place earlier this year on June 8 when a mob of local villagers lynched to death two youths from Guwahati, Nilotpal Das and Abhijeet Nath, on suspicions of being child lifters.
