Haryana election 2024: Voting begins for all 90 seats, 1,031 candidates in fray

Voting begins at 7 am and will continue till 6 in the evening.

With about 2 crore eligible voters, the Haryana legislative Assembly elections are underway in all the 90 constituencies across the state. Voting begins at 7 am and will continue till 6 in the evening. The voting in the high-stakes battle will decide whether the Bharatiya Janata Party secures a hat-trick of victories in the state or the Congress party succeeds to wrest back the power after being in opposition for ten years riding on anti-incumbency, farmer issues and recent protests by wrestlers. Apart from the BJP and the Congress, the Aam Aadmi Party and the two alliances, Indian National Lok Dal-Bahujan Samaj Party and Jannayak Janta Party-Azad Samaj Party are also key players in the single-phase poling today. The electoral process will see over 2 crore voters, including 8,821 centenarians, casting their votes across 20,632 polling booths.
