An incident of drunk driving almost caused a fatal accident on the Shraddhanjali Flyover in Guwahati’s Zoo Road area last night. A drunken couple driving a vehicle in high speed hit a scooter from behind. The person riding the scooter had a narrow escape as he fell down from the scooter but only sustained some injuries while avoiding fatality. The person on the scooter was reportedly engaged in putting up lighting decorations on the flyover ahead of the Durga Puja festivities.
