In an apparent case of hit and run, a homeless man was mowed to death by a speeding vehicle in the heart of Guwahati city in the wee hours today. The man was dragged by the speeding vehicle for over 100 metres causing the victim’s death. The incident occurred near the Ganeshguri flyover. Cops from the Dispur police station soon rushed to the spot after receiving information.
Although probe is underway into the matter, the vehicle and the driver involved in the hit and run case is yet to be traced.
