In a big breakthrough, the Assam Police have arrested ULFA-Independent rebel Bijoy Asom, who is an accused in the May 15 grenade attack in Guwahati that had left 11 people injured.

The dreaded ULFA-I cadre was arrested by the cops from Eastern Assam’s Tinsukia district. Bijoy Asom is the sixth accused to have been arrested by police.
During interrogation, Bijoy Axom has confessed of lobbing the hand grenade targeting security personnel.
