Guwahati: Five new family members welcomed in Sneha Bandhan

Sneha Bandhan, a home away from home for children in need has come forward to take care of 5 girls from Chirang district who were recently rescued by the Assam Police from Sikkim.
These girls and many more were trafficked to Sikkim and were made to work as house maids in different families. The rescued children were handed over to the Child Welfare Committee of Chirang.
Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Chirang and met the rescued children and said that he would adopt 10 children in Sneha Bandhan, a home for children in Beltola, Guwahati.
The CWC of Chirang, got an order to place the 10 children at Sneha Bandhan and 5 rescued girls were handed over to Sneha Bandhan on Wednesday, 4 August by the State Child Protection Society (SCPS) and the CWC of Chirang.
The CMD of Pride East Entertainments Pvt Ltd, Mrs Riniki Bhuyan Sharma met the children and welcomed them gracefully to their new home. She introduced the present children of Sneha Bandhan to the new children and showed them their rooms.
Sharma also interacted with the members of SCPS and learnt from them how the children were found.
