Guwahati child abuse case: Victim was sexually abused by professor’s husband, reveals medical reports

Horrific details have come to the fore concerning the recent child abuse case in Guwahati’s Kahilipara area.
As per latest inputs, the reports of medical examination has revealed that the accused husband of Dr Sabina Langthasa, assistant professor of Zoology department at B. Barooah College had allegedly sexually abused the victim.
Not just this, several other chilling details have also been exposed as per the statements of the minor.
Meanwhile, the Police has registered a case under the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Bill (POCSO) Act against the accused and said that Dr Langthasa may likely be arrested soon.
It may be mentioned here that the incident of alleged torture of the child
has come to light on Friday, after the the 10-year-old minor girl was rescued from the Piya Exotica apartment in Kahilipara.
The resuced minor was employed as a domestic help in the residence of Langthasa, who has been working at a reputed college of Guwahati.
Langthasa has been allegedly torturing the minor for the past two years. She allegedly beat and burnt the minor girl with a hot iron, then tied her up and prevented her from eating.
On Friday, the child was rescued from the apartment under the supervision of the Assam Centre for Rural Development and Child Friendly Guwahati.
