Guwahati’s popular amusement park, Accoland has been sealed by the authorities indefinitely.
The amusement park was sealed on the orders of Kamrup Metro Deputy Commissioner Birendra Mittal. The step was taken by the district authorities on Tuesday after determining the state of the water polluted to a high extent.
Test labs determined that the water in Accoland’s swimming pool had a high content of disease spreading germs.
As per the test results, the water at the amusement park premises had turned green out of excessive pollution as the authorities had not cleaned it up for a long time. As a result, the park is sealed for an indefinite period.
