In a shocking incident, an Assamese actress was abducted by a group of miscreants from Guwahati’s Gotanagar locality near the Radisson Blu hotel on National Highway 27.

As per inputs, an actress has been identified as Jiya Deka.

She was abducted in the presence of her husband by a group of at least 4-5 unidentified men.

Family members told that they made desperate attempts to rescue the woman from the clutches of the abductors, but eventually failed.

Speaking to media, victim’s family member said, “A gang arrived in a car with registration number AS 22 Y 9596 and forcibly pushed Deka into it and sped away from near Radisson Blu hotel on National Highway 27. We tried to overtake the car but were struck by the assailants and they fled the scene”, relative said.
