A grenade blast rocked Hari Nagar High Street in Srinagar city of Jammu and Kashmir ahead of Republic Day.
Hari Singh High Street is located in Srinagar district of Central Kashmir.
As per reports, the grenade was lobbed at a joint team of police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) deployed in the area. However, it exploded among a civilian population, injuring three civilians and a cop.
The injured civilians have been identified as–A 40-year-old woman Asmat, wife of Zahoor Ahmad Hajam of Charar-i-Shareef, Tanveera (38), and her husband Muhammad Shafi Bhat (43), the residence of Srinagar’s Chattabal area.
While police inspector has been identified as Tanveer Ahma.
All of them were taken to the nearby SMHS hospital, and their conditions are stable now.

The entire area has been cordoned off to nab the fleeing militants.
Meanwhile, Inspector-General of Border Security Force, DK Boora said that the forces have received some information and are on high alert.
He also assures the public that they have nothing to fear.
The Inspector-General stated that they are “extensively carrying out operations, including anti-drone exercises,” and that they will do everything possible to ensure the public’s safety.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
