Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb asserted that the state government has been having a successful time in its quest against drug peddling in the state.
While addressing a public meeting, Deb said that about 26 thousand kilograms of marijuana have been seized ever since his government came to power this year.
He also stated that almost 2 crore marijuana saplings have been destroyed by police during crackdowns on illegal plantations.
The Tripura Chief Minister also asserted that his government has stood firm against drug smuggling that happens from across the border in Bangladesh.
