Government of India and NSCN-IM Agree to Resume Peace Talks, Following Key Meeting in Dimapur

This is with NSCN Unification (the splinter group) Kitovi Zhimovi. He was earlier the Convener of NNPGs but was impeached last year.
The NSCN-IM has agreed to resume talks with the Government of India at the earliest. As per sources, the decision was taken during the NSCN-IM leadership’s meeting with Government of India representative AK Mishra which lasted for around 40 minutes.
The meeting took place at NSCN IM General Secretary TH Muivah’s private residence in Dimapur and was also attended by Vice Chairman Tongmeth Wangnao, Rh Raising and Karaibo Chawang.
GoI India Representative AK Mishra met leaders of NSCN IM today prior to his departure to New Delhi.
The Centre’s emissary for Naga peace talks, AK Mishra, arrived in Nagaland on Thursday along with other representatives of the Union government and met the working committee of the Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs), Kitovi led NSCN- Unification, Khango Konyak and others from NSCN K and NSCN K (Niki Sumi).
