The Meghalaya police has said that it has been able to contain the operations of the once dreaded Garo National Liberation Army, the HNLC and even the ULFA-I in the western part of the state.
Meghalaya DGP SB Singh has said that as far as the GNLA is concerned, the outfit is a spent force now with only a few a cadres remaining who had fled to Bangladesh.
The DGP added, that with the GNLA gone, the acitvities of its ally outfit, ULFA-I has also been contained. He added that the cyber cell of the police is also on its toes to check any activities by the outfits on social media.
