A team of junior doctors were allegedly assaulted by a group of youths late last night at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). If reports are to be believed, chaos ensued after the death of an accident victim. The doctors were attacked after attendants of the accident victim alleged that doctors ignored timely treatment ultimately leading to the loss of life. Soon thereafter, the doctors were attacked by a group of youths. 5 persons accused in attacking the doctors have been arrested by the police.
The review meeting was attended by Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura.
