Amidst the Rongali Bihu festivities, Guwahati is gearing up for the Guwahati Municipal Corporation elections on April 22.

Campaigning is going on in full swing among the candidates from various political parties to reach out to the voters at their maximum capacity.

And here the Congress party is aiming to reach out to maximum voters in a bid to change their fortunes which has been on the downside for quite sometime now.

Party president Bhupen Bora believes that the Congress has an edge over the ruling BJP as they are highlighting the issues faced by the people of Guwahati and also emerging as a strong option for the people.
