Gauhati HC stays appointment of new APPSC chairperson and members

The Gauhati High Court has stayed the appointment process for a new chairperson and members of the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.

The High Court was hearing writ petitions filed by Collonel Koj Tari and Taba Rosy, challeging the government’s cancellation of their appointment as the commission’s members on April 18th. The high court ruled that “until final disposal of the writ petitions filed, the further process of selection of members of APPSC as a consequence of the notification dated 28th April, 2023, shall remain stayed.”
