Gang of burglars busted in Tripura, 5 arrested

Police recovered 4 laptops, 2 smart phones, one LED television, a dismantled bike along with its engine and 42 iron rod rings
Tripura Police today busted a gang of burglars and arrested 5 persons. The police also recovered several of the stolen items.
As per inputs, since last few days, a gang of thieves has been breaking into houses and stealing items such as cash, jewellery and gadgets and other valuables in East Agartala.
After locals complained, East Agartala Police formed a team and conducted raided in some areas of Agartala. During the raids, Police arrested five persons along with stolen items, said SP, East Agartala Police, Dr Kiran Kumar.
Police recovered 4 laptops, 2 smart phones, one LED television, a dismantled bike along with its engine and 42 iron rod rings, said SP Kumar.
He said that all the arrested persons will be produced before court with appeal for police remand for their interrogation.
The SP informed that investigation is underway and a search operation is on to nab one more person involved in this.
In recent months, police arrested several bike lifters beside recovering stolen bikes, jewellery and electronics goods.
