Satwiksairaj, Chirag wins French Open Super 750

Satwiksairaj and Chirag, displayed exceptional sporting skills to defeat the 25th ranked pair of Yao and Han 21-13, 21-09 in straight sets.

Star Indian pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty has won the French Open Super 750 Title by defeating Chinese Taipei’s Lu Ching Yao and Yang Po Han in the men’s doubles final.

Both the shuttlers, Satwiksairaj and Chirag, displayed exceptional sporting skills to defeat the 25th ranked pair of Yao and Han 21-13, 21-09 in straight sets in the final match that lasted for nearly 48 minutes.

Meanwhile, the winning streak of Satwiksairaj and Chirag continues. The World Nos. 8 pair have already won the Open super 500 title, Commonwealth Games gold, Thomas Cup crown and an unprecedented bronze at the World Championships in August.

Indeed it a dream run for the pair this year. For the Indian duo, the French Open marks their third world tour title after the 2019 Thailand Open and the 2022 Indian Open.

Badminton Association of India President and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated both Satwiksairaj and Chirag for their exceptional performance.
