In a significant development, the former Sikkim BJP president DB Chauhan on Friday joined the Citizen Action Party (CAP).
The announcement was made during the inauguration of Citizen Action Party party headquarters at Adampool near Gangtok today.
Chauhan was officially welcomed into the party by CAP chief coordinator Ganesh Rai.
In addition to Chauhan, several other individuals also joined the CAP during the inauguration. These include retired teachers and ex-servicemen, sitting panchayat leader RB Gurung from Melli constituency and social worker Karma Bhutia from Martam-Rumtek.
