Amidst campaigning for the upcoming fifth phase of Lok Sabha polls in Bihar, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday targeted former IPS officer Anand Mishra over deciding to quit police service and contest elections. Addressing a poll rally in Buxar, CM Sarma said that Mishra, a former IPS officer under the Assam cadre, is contesting polls with the backing of Congress and RJD. He said that Mishra is contesting the elections to cut into BJP’s votes in the Buxar Lok Sabha seat.
