Normal life came to a standstill at Nirjuli township along National Highway 415 in Arunachal Pradesh due to incessant rain since early this morning, resulting in flash floods in the town.

Several localities of the town is reeling under flood water. Vehicular movement in the town also came to a halt due to floods in the town with more than 300 people left stranded.

Notably, Nirjuli town experiences such flood scenes every year. Speaking to Northeast Live, local MLA, Nabam Reiba said that he was not aware of the situation that the people of Nirjuli faces every year.
