Good news for the tea tribe community of Assam. ‘Mini’, the film by popular filmmaker Arunjit Borah on hardships and challenges of the tea workers of the state has been selected to be screened at the upcoming Italy International Film Festival this year.
The trailer of the film produced by Assamese actor Pankaj Mahanta was released in December last year at a star-studded event in Mumbai.
The film has been made in Assamese and Sadri languages. It features Urmila Mahanta, Balaram Das, Dhananjay Debnath, Naba Mahanta, and Pankaj Mahanta in the lead roles.
The film has also been selected for the Third Eye Asian Film Festival and Leonid Khromov International Film Festival.
The film has won the Best Film award at the North East Film Festival held in Mumbai.

The review meeting was attended by Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura.
