Ex-Israel military officer returns home to Assam, says he has returned to childhood

Amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas war, an 85-year old former Israeli military officer has reached Assam.

Ami Casset, a former officer of the Israel Defence Forces, whose dream to visit India has finally been fulfilled by a man named Tularam Chettri from Assam.

Speaking to reporters, the former IDF officer spoke on his love for India and particularly Assam.
Casset said,”I love India everyday and every minute. I feel that I have come back to India not come to India. Assam is my place, I grew in Assam. When I reached Assam, the barriers between my childhood and Assam disappeared. I have come back to my childhood. The quacking of the ducks is the nicest music ever.”
When asked about his thoughts on the prevailing situation in his motherland Israel, Casset said, “Askalon was under very heavy bombing, since there were iron sheds, the bombs were not hitting much. I believe that the IDF will do the job and I hope they will do the right thing.”

Speaking to reporters, the former IDF officer spoke on his love for India and particularly Assam.
